Catch Up

Well, I thought about breaking this up into several different posts... But I'm lazy, so it's all in one.
And then I thought about writing in detail about all the events of the last little while. Like how I got spoiled on Mother's Day (yes, I know, forever ago), or how I almost missed my brother's wedding... But again, I'm lazy. So I'll just throw a bunch of pics on here and write a little blip about each.

We'll start with Mother's Day (and I did get spoiled)

Brecken kept saying all day "Mom, this is so nice of me. I'm going to..." and then whatever good deed she was bestowing. Ah, the little cutie...

My Breakfast in the making (notice, also, my Mother's Day bouquet)...
And the finished product. From the grill. Let me just say it was good. Real good :). Thanks babe!...
Then there was a Park Day somewhere in there...
The two cuties together (can I just say I love summer?!)...

And Daddy and Taylor. So sweet...
Ok, Then I headed Off to Grantsville for a week and half (Russ joined me later). Here are the happenings...
There were seven of these running around and Brecken was in love...
Memorial Day...

The four of us girls...
Brecken at Kamry's grave...
Brecken had a pine cone and a stick that she wanted to give to Kamry. Funny, sweet girl...
Later that day in the car (it's how we keep her happy)...
Then we did our traditional Out to Dinner (thanks Dad!!)...
Then there was The Wedding...
My brother Dan, and his, now, wife, Nicole (and let me just say that I just love her!)....
We saw a lot of this...

Ah, wouldn't they look good with five little ones runnin' around?...
I love this picture of Brecken chasing down her cousins...
And of course she wouldn't stop until she caught them...
But she is sweet...
I know, we take a lot of pictures of Brecken...
This is her camera pose (no joke, every time she sees a camera she does this, what to do with her?)...
And of course my good lookin' hunk gettin' the baby to sleep...

And here's Taylor scrounging under the table for dropped food... or anything else she can find...
The guys...
The guys again...
The girls...
And no, not the girls again. Just Mark and Taylor (well not just Mark ;) )...
This is my adorable niece Charity...
My sister, Destinee and her... a.... friend ;) ...
And here's the whole Harrington crew. Yes this was the best shot we got. Even with Brecken picking her nose...
And then there was the Princess Cupcake...
Brecken has been in love with Kara's Cupcake Blog since it started. In fact I'm convinced if you look at her counter half of the hits are from Brecken (maybe not quite that many) So while we were down in Utah Kara made this for her and she hasn't stopped talking about it. Yes, it's a giant cupcake...

Can you detect a little excitement here?....

But of course the best part....
Ah, it feels good to be caught up. At least until I take another picture :)

Oh my! Where do I start?!?

I'll try to start at the beginning. Breken's little mother's day comments are hilarious! Just love little kids! I also love the pinecone and stick. When we visited Scott's grandpa's grave on his birthday a few months ago, ryan found a stick that looked like a cane because it had a handle...so he thought it was perfect for him and gave it to "him." Then when we were there on Memorial Day he was sad that the "cane" was missing!
A child's gift of love is adorable!

I love seeing pictures of your family! Dalton and Austin sure are getting older! Goodness! Hannah too! It's been way too long! I love the strapping young men picture! Congrats Dan and Nicole!

But what I might be most interested in is the "friend" picture!!! I'm gonna have to give your mom a ring and get some details:)!!!

I thought about all of you for the wedding a LOT...it was on my anniversary too!

Thanks for the update! I've been wondering when you were going to get home from all the fun family stuff!

Loved this post! You have the cutest little girls!! They looked so cute in their dresses! Destinee's "friend" is cute! I don't recognize some of your brothers now! Hannah is getting so big!! I love the picture of Taylor at the park! I Love the family picture, even if Brecken is picking her nose! Brecken's pine cone and stick is priceless, and Brecken's pose!....do you get the point, I could go on! Love seeing pictures of you guys! Looks like you guys have been having fun!

Good catch up Ren! It was sure fun to see you all when you were here. We love you guys! I am impressed with Russ' culinary arts skills! I think that if I make breakfast, I am pretty impressed with myself. I have never thought to try to make it LOOK nice! :-)
Kyla is still asking for "Brecky" and is so sad that I don't magically produce her. And when we play "ring around the rosie" Kyla plops down in the middle of the song, and I was wondering why she suddenly started doing this when I remembered Charity and her playing with Brecken...if either of them didn't "fall down" in time, Brecken was sure to "help" them. They loved it...but even so. Now Kyla is sure that she is DOWN by the end of the song. Must be a self-preservation thing. :-) I have a feeling that she will learn a lot from Brecken!
We love you guys!

Such a great post. My favorite pic is the one of Taylor in the car eating the pear (?). So, so cute. Great to see you guys are doing well.

Yay! I've been waiting for an update from you guys. Looks like you've been busy. The wedding pictures are sooo cute. Nicole and Dan look so happy and are such a nice looking couple! The girls dresses are adorable -- and my mom told me your mom found them last-minute?! Wow! That was lucky.
Your Mothers Day breakfast looks fantastic. Next time we get together, I say we do breakfast. At your place. Russ cooks. ha! But seriously, we should get together sometime soon. I need you to teach me how to do Sam's hair like Brecken's because she (and I) want to grow her bangs out. Oh, and I want to hear why you almost missed Dan's wedding. And more about Destinee and her friend?? hmm... Blog again sooner, kay?
love ya!

Serenity! Of course I remember you! Holy cow! I am so glad you found me! What a cute little family! Your kids are so cute and uyu also look so cute! What friend knows you and knows me? That is so neat! How many years has it been? Where are you living at? I'm in Sandy. I hope everything is going well for you. Your blog is so cute. Thanks for finding me. I hope you're fine with keeping in touch.

You know, after I left that last comment, I thought, "I bet Serenity know Whitney." I remembered that you and her were both from Grantsville. Whitney was my roommate my second year at Snow College. That is so neat! What a small world! I am excited for your brother. My soon to be brother-in-law is from Boise Idaho. His name is Jason Porter. Do you happen to know his family? Are you planning on living in Boise for a long time? It is great to talk to you again!

Sorry it has taken me a while to respond back. We won't be in Sandy for long. We are actually living with my husband's grandparents. We were up at the U of U and moved during the middle of April. We have been looking to buy a home and we are closing on one probably next week. We will be living in Draper up on Suncrest. We will be there for quite a while. Where do you plan to live after Boise? I bet it is fun there.
